I found this Japanese drama called "Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi"
Chinese Name: 鹿男与美丽的奈良
Japanese Name: 鹿男あをによし
If you like fantasy story with lots of historical facts, then this might be for you.
One day a deer started to talk to the main character who is a teacher, who became a servant for the deer to save Japan from all the earthquakes. Apparently there is a monster sleeping underneath Japan, if they don't make it go back to sleep, then when it flips over, Japan will probably be destroyed. There are also servants of a fox and of a rat who are related to this as well. The fox servant suppose to give a piece of artifact to the main character, but she gave it to the rat servant instead. Rat always want to mess things up for some reason. Another teacher want to help the main character and she just happened to be very good at Japanese history and they actually found the triangle artifact that they were looking for (it's not really triangle shaped) Because the main character really don't know how to save Japan, so the deer marked him and he will always see a deer head when he look at himself in the mirror. So it would give him a sense of urgency to solve the puzzle/problem if he wants to see his face again in the mirror. I didn't see the whole thing, but I saw the most important parts. Now it's on episode 8. I'll watch it from the beginning and make a summary. I like this story, it's refreshing from all those lovy-dovy stuff from asia.
